As professional handlers and trainers we all forget how difficult it is as a newby to find those extra hands and legs we need to coordinate a clicker food a lead a ball and most important the dog we are training. The concept just seems too unfathomable
and the skills illusive. Time practice and loads of patience and our manual will get you well on the way to feeling completely
savvy as a trainer in no time at all, and all in the comfort of learning at your own pace in your own home, when it suits you.
In our programme we will have you learning the fundamental basics of dog training. Things as simple as sit & down to more
complex behaviors like return to heal and the prolonged wait in a position, or commonly misused “stay”. And the dynamic “free shaping" All with the expert help from video footage of trainers/breeders using these varied skills and techniques.
Foundations are a key element to what we do. Some training facilities will have a learner pumped through a class and in 8 weeks expect a healing dog to be moving around under distraction with perfect focus.. not with us we believe in foundations more importantly than looking like you are moving ahead at great guns, all we ask of our students is that you give you are your dog time to get each and EVERY step solid in its entirety before moving on to any step.
We believe that a truly well trained dog is on that has the ability to try new things at 12 weeks and use its brain to press buttons and be allowed to then for the next 9 months work on bomb proofing the basics.
This manual “FOUNDATIONS” is to assist the puppy that is 7-12 weeks through to 12 mths. To develop as a strong confident pup in all arenas such as confirmation showing, tracking protection & most importantly Obedience.
Foundations which are the building blocks of your partnership with your companion you will need these clear grounds on which to return if down the line you come across something that has developed somehow as a bad habit. Foundations are the stepping stones at any point and at many points we will keep revisiting all our foundations moves. Even when you are titled and being presented with perfect behaviors from your dog in the future you should still reward in the foundation positions to maintain the true correctness of the dog’s mood and drive.

My programme's “Breeding for Life” & “Imprint” will change the face of breeding in Australia. Once a programme like this is active in a kennel they will become the elite in their breed quickly and successfully. You will not believe what a difference it will make to how the clients view you & your breed and how quickly the word spreads.
You will learn how to assess people for breeders terms homes and what will life defining is how to in turnhave them running the same programme to ensure there ongoing success as well. You will be supplied with a web site format and set up, email auto reply's to questions, pdf format manual to be supplied to all your clients, puppy packs and manuals can also be ordered from us to make things simple...and much much more we cover it all right down to lists for first aids kits and birthing needs.
You will learn the skills of breeding for life " starting with nutrition and bitch and dog care through to heat cycles, conception, mating and gestation, birthing and care, not only from our kennels but from other kennels that also share our success and are themselves honorable and dedicated breeders. You will see video footage and pictures of Dobermanns, Malonis and German Shepherds, Burmilla's and Chinchillas.
I have been shocked to my core at some of the absolute disasters that some breeders have had whilst trying what seemed to me the most simple of natural behaviors making baby puppies & kittens. I now realise that with my extended knowledge of not just breeding but nutrition and animal physiology I not only had an upper hand on the entire breeding practice but that I also had a large amount of information to offer on this field.
I have over time offered much advice to those around me struggling to grasp the magnitude and simplicity of the practice. Finally i realise that this information was really best given in its entirety and to those willing to step up and treat breeding not just as a hobby, as I am afraid it is looked upon in Australia, but instead as a career. If people were to change there outlook and perception on the value and importance that the breeding practices play on the continuance and strength of our chosen breeds, then we must first take ourselves our dogs, and our breeding practices more seriously.
